A warm welcome
in the Sulwald Stübli
The Sulwald Stübli is located at an elevation of 1,520 meters, right next to the mountain station of the Isenfluh–Sulwald cable car (LIS). From our sun terrace, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, and many other peaks of the Bernese Alps.
Up here, you'll find peace, fresh mountain air, and authentic mountain living. We'll spoil you with regional and Tyrolean cuisine made from the finest ingredients – accompanied by a glass of wine or local beer to enjoy and unwind.
There's no electricity or sewage system on Sulwald: we cook with gas, heat with wood, and get some electricity from our solar panels. Feel free to talk to us and find out more.
Things don't always happen as quickly here as they do in the valley – here, a lot of things require more advance planning, manual work, and only work with a good dose of mountain charm.

We're the starting point for a wide variety of hikes and climbing tours, and in winter, snowshoe and ski tours. Enjoy a refreshing thirst-quencher on our sun terrace before speeding down the 4 km forest road to Isenfluh on scooters in summer or sleds in winter.
On cold winter days we await you with a warm fire in our cozy Stübli with a cheese fondue.
During opening hours we serve hot meals – everything fresh
cooked and baked, as often as possible with regional and seasonal ingredients.
In winter we offer fondue evenings by reservation:
on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday with a minimum of 6 people.
You can make reservations for our fine Brunch all year round:
between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. with a minimum of 2 people.
